Dog Lover Mixed Media

Do I have any dog lovers out there???
[Cat lovers, check back on the 17th for my feline card.]

Today, I am sharing with you my second Picket Fence Studios card from the new Paws and Prints Release. I had fun creating this mixed media card. For the background, I began with some shimmer and ink sprays on watercolor paper and then stamped the dog face using the new “You Hold My Heart in Your Paw” Stamp Set [ https://collabs.shop/v95nep ]. I darkened the eyes with a marker and added a little white highlight to make them stand out. I wanted him to look out and touch your heart. Then, I stenciled the paw prints around the edges using the “Fetch Layered Stencils” [ https://collabs.shop/3phfcq ] and black and white glaze from the “Paper Glaze Canines Sampler Set” [ https://collabs.shop/act551 ]. Let me tell you… this was my first time using the regular Paper Glazes, and they are sooo smooth and easy to work with! I love them so much, I ordered more. 😁

Next, I distressed the edge and added a bit more ink to darken the frame. I stamped my sentiment using the new Dogs/Cats Always Know Good People Stamp Set [ https://collabs.shop/svpzmd ] and die cut it using the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies [ https://collabs.shop/emdbak ]. This is a very useful die set with lots of possibilities. I also used this die set on the card I posted yesterday. I finished the card by mounting the whole thing on black cardstock to give a little contrast and to highlight the black elements in the card.
