Coffee Themed Die-Cut Card

Easy card formula!
❤️ 1 focal + 2 large shapes (ovals) + 3 small shapes (hearts) = EZ layout ❤️

Hello all, Crafty Crew Member Deborah Hellman here to share with you my super fun coffee themed card using the Bun-a-Latte Stamp SetCoffee Splatter Stencil, and Gingerbread Christmas Paper Pack from Crafty Stamp Co. The Bun-a-Latte Stamp Set includes four cute bunnies and six sentiment options, including “tea.”

This A2 card was actually pretty simple to create. Once I had decided on my coffee themed bunny card, I selected two additional colors that work well with browns and cream colors – blue and green. First, I stamped and fussy cut my sweet bunny.  Next, I die-cut two ovals and three hearts. I used the EZ Wonder Die Set 2 Add On for my ovals and hearts. If you use the code DEBORAH10 , you can save 10%. Also, all of the papers for the blues, greens, and multi-colored oval all came from Your Paper Insider. Secret trivia: The beige oval with all of the color specks in it is actually made with 5% coffee silver skin added to the paper mix! That’s right, they used a coffee by-product in the paper production. So, instead of just disposing of the coffee production waste, they found a way to repurpose it. The paper is called Coffee Cover Reflex, and it was included in my quarterly paper subscription box 11. I just had to use it for my coffee card… very appropriate, right?!? In order to add another light brown component, I cut one of my stars out of a piece of patterned paper from the Gingerbread Christmas Paper Pack. Yes, it’s a Christmas Pack, but does it work… Yes! The warm cookie colored background with stars made a perfect heart for my card. I like to keep my color palette simple and to repeat colors on the card. It helps to make everything look purposeful and cohesive.

After coloring my coffee bunny with my OLO alcohol ink markers and arranging all of my components on my card to make sure I liked the layout before gluing, I decided I needed a little coffee spatter under the cup. I used the Coffee Splatter Stencil and some Distress Oxide Ground Espresso to quickly ink blend a small splatter on my oval where my cup would be positioned. Adding little details helps to make your card special and unique. Then, simply glue everything in place… easy peasy.
