The Spellbinders’ New May Releases are now available! I created these beautiful cards using the new Spring in Kyoto Collection from Alex Syberia. I LOVE these Kokeshi dolls and the cherry blossoms, oh my…

For my first card, I used the Cherry Blossoms BetterPress Plates and Dies to print my images before coloring them with OLO alcohol ink markers. For the background, I embossed a piece of Oceanside Cardstock using the Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder. I added an additional oval die-cut using the same cardstock and the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals. I did this to provide more dimension and a flat place to mount my sentiment, which is included with the Cherry Blossoms BP Plate and Dies.

For the next two cards, I used the Kokeshi Dolls BP Plates and Dies and Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder. On this card, I used the same Oceanside Cardstock and mounted my die-cut doll with foam adhesive to add more dimension. I loved coloring the doll using some of my bright alcohol ink markers.

On this final card, I decided to switch to a white background and again colored my Kokeshi Doll with alcohol ink markers using a softer color palette. The sentiment came from the Cherry Blossoms BP Plates and Dies.
