The Wildflowers Collection by Lisa Horton Crafts is now available at Spellbinders Paper Arts.

For the first card, I used some Tim Holtz sprays to create my background. Then, I used the Script Text BetterPress Plate and BetterPress Ink to add some additional color and texture. Next, I die cut some florals using the Layered Wildflowers Die Set and printed and cut my butterfly using the Butterfly Silhouettes BetterPress Plate and Dies. After adding some additional ink blending to my pieces, I assembled the card and added a sentiment using the Script Text BetterPress Plates and Dies.

All of my paper supplies came from Your Paper Insider. For my butterfly, in addition to white cardstock for stability, I used Lavender Thai Unryu Paper. It is very lightweight and has thin fibers running through it. When I stamped it with the butterfly plate, the inks bled slightly, giving my butterfly a more natural veined look. I also used Berrylicious Pop-Tone Cover Paper, Pewter Gray Cardstock, Purple Lilac Cardstock, and Smooth White Cardstock from Your Paper Insider.

For my second card, I used Lisa Horton Craft’s Layered Wildflowers Dies, Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals Dies, and the Sending Smiles Sentiment and Die Set. I cut my flowers from a leftover piece of watercolor paper that I had sprayed with yellow, coral, and pink colors. I also added a little embossing to one of the layers using the Spellbinders May Embossing Folder of the Month (Abstract Study).
The Your Paper Insider cardstock used includes Purple Lilac, Pewter Gray, and Lilac Favini Burano. I also used foam tape between several of the layers for added dimension and added a shadow layer to the die cut sentiment.

For this next card, I combined several products. In addition to hot foiling Lisa Horton Craft’s Splatters Press Plate with Glimmer rainbow foil, I also used the Take Note – Reel Color Die and Sentiments and the Crafty Babe – Crafty Tools. All of the cardstock used was from Spellbinders.

For my final card, I used a leftover strip of watercolor paper that I had sprinkled with pink, blue, and purple Lindy’s Pigment Powders. I cut the edges with the Take Note – Torn Paper Dies. For my focal, I cut a bright yellow flower using Lisa Horton Craft’s Layered Wildflowers Dies and Spellbinders Cardstock. I finished it off with a Take Note – Reel Color Sentiment.
