Hero Arts’ Seaside Blooms and Summer by the Shore Collections

Hero Arts’ July Releases are beautiful.  In addition to two Christmas collections, they also released two beautiful summer collections – Seaside Blooms and Summer by the Shore.

For my first card, I used the Layered Hydrangea Etched Dies. I created two watercolor panels, one with Lindy’s Gang Magical Powders and one using Ranger Ink and Mica Sprays. After they were dry, I cut them using the dies.

The dies were easy to use and assemble.  I added some additional sparkle to the centers using the Sparkle Splatter Effects by Spellbinders.

For my second card, I used the Summer Bouquet Stamp & Cut Set. The stamp set is unique because it includes multiple dies for the girl and flowers. I stamped the same image three times and then cut the images with each of the three dies. The first cut – full figure, second cut – arms and bouquet, and third cut – bouquet. This allows you to stack the die cuts with adhesive foam in between layers and build lots of dimension on your card. I colored all of the images with alcohol ink markers.

For my next card, I used the Coastal Blooms Heroscape Stamp & Cut Set. I used the layered stamps with dye inks to create the fence and hydrangeas. I then die cut it and mounted it onto an ink blended panel. After stamping, cutting, and coloring the items for the bottom of my card, I attached them using glue. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment and flowers in the sky.

For my final card, I created my background using the Scattered Shells BetterPress Plate and the Happy BetterPress Mini Ink Set by Dina Wakley. For the focal images, I used the Message in a Bottle Etched Die Set. I created the bottle using two layers; the top layer is vellum with a little ink blending, and the underlayer is white cardstock.
