Welcome to the Sharing Spring Cardmaking Hop week 1! We are excited to share this week’s challenge: Floral Birthday!

For my spring floral inspired birthday card, I used Altenew’s Happy Petals Stamp and Die set. It was the first stamp set that I purchased from Altenew, and I still love it. For the florals, I used an emboss/resist technique and colored the image using distress alcohol inks in order to achieve a soft look. For the background, I stretched my supplies and used my Waffle Flower’s Triple Lined Diamond hot foil plate as an embossing plate. I really love getting double use out of my supplies whenever possible. I then hot foiled the birthday sentiment using Spellbinders birthday sentiment set and layered the card front onto a piece of gold mirror cardstock.
