Spellbinders’ October Release Projects

Spellbinders’ New October Release Products are now available!

To create this card, I started with a piece of watercolor paper and applied a mix of Lindy’s Gang Magical Pigment Powders. After it was dry, I misted the back with water and embossed it using the new Distress Mix 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I brushed a white pigment ink pad across the raised portions of the paper to highlight the pattern.

For the die cut flowers, I used the Essential Envelope Every Day Add-Ons with a little ink blending. The sentiments are from the Birthday Wishes Sentiments Set.

For this card’s background, I used the Crackle Paint 3D Embossing Folder with a piece of watercolor paper that I colored with Lindy’s Gang Magical Pigment Powders and then die cut with the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals Etched Dies. I also used the Essential Envelope Every Day Add-Ons for the flowers and Suzanne Hue’s Birthday Wishes for the sentiments. I added a bit of shine using Aquamarine AB Crystals.

For this card, I also used one of my Lindy’s Gang Magical Pigment Powder backgrounds. I trimmed it, so it was 3¾” x 5½” and then distressed the vertical edges. I wanted some vertical black cardstock to show when I mounted it on an A2 black cardbase. I then die-cut the stitching holes along the left side with the Tangled Threads Etched Die Set and stitched it with DMC black embroidery floss. Next, I created my flowers using the Thank You Bouquet 3D Folder and Stencil Bundle. First, you dry emboss the flowers, die cut them with the included dies, and then stencil them with your choice of colors. I added some additional leaves using the Essential Envelope Every Day Add-Ons Die Set. I finished the card by adding a sentiment from the Heartfelt Thanks & Scallops Die Set.

For this card, I used (you guessed it 😁) another Lindy’s Gang Magical Pigment Powders background. I simply die cut it using the Deckled Edge Script Etched Dies and mounted it on a piece of black cardstock. I completed the card with a sentiment from Suzanne Hue’s Birthday Wishes Sentiments Set, a leaf sprig using the Growing BetterPress Plates & Dies, and some Silver Mix Crystals.

I also created this card with Wendy Vecchi’s new Spellbinders’ release products. For this card’s background, I used the Polka Dot and Posy Duo Embossing Folder. This folder has two pattern options. You can place your paper at either the top or bottom to have a continuous pattern or in the middle to combine the two embossed patterns. I tilted my paper slightly in the middle of the folder before embossing to give my background a more unique look. I also used the Thank You Bouquet 3D Folder, Die, and Stencil Bundle and the Tabbed In & Out Sentiment Set. I selected bright fun colors for this birthday card to hopefully brighten the recipient’s birthday.

For this final card, I used the Essential Envelope Every Day Add-Ons Etched Die in conjunction with the original Essential Envelope Die Set to create my tabbed envelope. I also used the bottom portion of Polka Dot and Posy Duo Embossing Folder to decorate the front of my envelope.  For the sentiments, I used the Tabbed In & Out Sentiment Set.
